Summer Noon (ver 2) by Tweedy

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                            SUMMER NOON - Tweedy
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAPO 4th

I saw that there was another version of this song. This is the way Jeff plays it and as it is played
on the album. The song is basically the same pattern all the way. The base line is really dominant
in this song so make sure you get the hang of the ascending baseline from D - G.

D x00232
D/e 000232
D/f# 200232
G* 300033 You can play the G anyway you want. 320033 for a full sound
or 300030 for a more "hollow" sound.
Em7 022030
A 002220

 D D/e D/f# G
Summer noon I can always stay
    Em7 A
To radiate what the cello can’t play
 D D/e D/f# G
She spoke to me and provoked my band
       Em7 A
And I broke in two in the heat of her hand

 D D/e D/f# G
Like a lioness or a coyote
      Em7 A
At a pink beating heart in the balcony
  D D/e D/f# G
I followed the finger to the creature’s gate
       Em7 A
In the hubbub where the pitiful congregate

 D D/e D/f# G
I thought there was a note I could not hear
       Em7 A
So I floated to the whisper up against my ear
 D D/e D/f# G
Afterwards, I found my face in the trash
       Em7 A
Really at the core of it, it wasn’t so bad

D D/e D/f# G
Never leave your mother’s womb
Em7 A D
Unless you wanna see how hard a broken heart can swoon

D/e D/f# G

Em7 A D
Unless you wanna see how hard a broken heart can swoon

D D/e D/f# G
Summer noon I can always stay
    Em7 A
To radiate what the cello can’t play
 D D/e D/f# G

       Em7 A

D D/e D/f# G

At a pink beating heart in the balcony
  D D/e D/f# G
I followed the finger to the creature’s gate
       Em7 A
In the hubbub where the pitiful congregate

 D D/e D/f# G

Unless you wanna see how hard a broken heart can swoon

D/e D/f# G

Em7 A D
Unless you wanna see how hard a broken heart can swoon
